Careers & delivery partners

Bring skilled fire-door delivery into live buildings.

We welcome expressions of interest from qualified carpenters, experienced fire-door installers, working supervisors and dependable subcontract partners for hotel, social-housing and other occupied-building programmes.

Expressions of interest · Opportunities depend on confirmed programmes
Two ways to work with MC Pro

Good people. Clear scope. Professional delivery.

We review every enquiry against confirmed or forecast project needs. The role, actual engagement basis, rate, location, dates, hours, scope and onboarding requirements are agreed in writing before mobilisation. Associated carpentry, stud-wall and plasterboarding tasks are assigned only where the relevant competence and project controls are confirmed.

Skilled site careers

Join an MC Pro delivery team.

For carpenters, fire-door installers and supervisors who take pride in accurate work, direct communication and reliable daily handback.

  • Installation and supported remedial capability
  • Willingness to follow project evidence routes
Subcontracting

Support defined packages or project phases.

For capable individuals and established teams that can integrate with MC Pro supervision, programme controls and client reporting requirements.

  • Clear labour and delivery capacity

  • Verifiable competence and recent project references
The live-building standard

Technical ability must work around the building in use.

Hotels, social housing and other occupied environments demand people who can plan access, protect occupants and communicate clearly as conditions change.

01

Plan around people

Understand guests, residents, staff, security and operational routes before starting the door task.

02

Work to the evidence

Follow the approved schedule, manufacturer information, project detail and agreed quality route.

03

Report change early

Raise access failures, opening conditions, material issues and unsupported details before they affect close-out.

04

Hand back properly

Leave work areas controlled, tidy and ready for the building to continue operating at the agreed time.

What we look for

Competence that can be checked before site.

Requirements vary by role and project. Current, relevant evidence is reviewed during onboarding, not assumed from a job title.

  • Relevant fire-door installation or remedial experience, supported by a clear work history or recent references.
  • NVQ Level 2 Carpentry and a valid Blue Skilled Worker CSCS card for carpenter roles.
  • Role-relevant, current training such as manual handling, working at height, asbestos awareness, COSHH awareness and fire-warden awareness.
  • Ability to read schedules, follow approved details and record work through the project’s agreed evidence route.
  • For employed roles, right-to-work verification before the start date using the applicable Home Office online share-code service, permitted document route or Employer Checking Service.
  • For subcontract engagements, identity, references, competence, insurance, tax, CIS and employment-status information where relevant to the arrangement.
  • Professional conduct, safe use of equipment and PPE, prompt reporting of defects or unsafe conditions, and respect for occupied premises. Required PPE is supplied free where MC Pro has that legal duty; engagement terms do not remove statutory rights.
