Emergency fire-door repairs, maintenance and replacement

When a fire door is damaged, will not close or latch, has failed an inspection or must be replaced quickly, contact MC Pro Services at any time. Our 24/7 emergency fire-door call-out line starts a priority review of the site location, door reference, photographs, known defects, survey actions and access requirements. We then identify whether the instructed route is an authorised adjustment, evidence-supported repair or client-supplied replacement doorset installation. The response and attendance time is confirmed after checking location, team availability, site controls, suitable materials and the approved scope. Where there is an immediate life-safety concern, the building dutyholder must also follow the premises fire strategy and emergency procedures.

What the service can include

  • 24/7 call-out intake and priority review of photographs, door references, survey actions and the reported fault
  • Authorised adjustments to closing, latching, alignment and specified gaps
  • Replacement or adjustment of compatible hinges, closers, seals and scheduled hardware
  • Evidence-supported local timber repairs where an approved detail is available
  • Urgent installation of client-supplied timber, composite or metal replacement doorsets
  • Planned out-of-hours delivery where agreed and operationally available
  • Before, during and after photographs with unresolved issues escalated to the project team

The intended outcome

A faster, controlled route from a reported fire-door defect to authorised repair or replacement, with completed actions recorded and unsupported conditions clearly escalated.

Requesting an emergency call-out

What should I send?

Call with the site postcode, door location or reference, the fault and your contact details. Photos of the whole doorset, damage, hinges, closer and any product labels help us review the next step. Include any existing inspection report and explain how we can access the site.

How quickly can you attend?

Enquiries are accepted 24/7. Attendance is confirmed individually, depending on location, available operatives, safe access, suitable materials and the approved work. Ask us to confirm the attendance window and charges before authorising a call-out; we do not promise a fixed arrival time.

Can every damaged fire door be repaired?

No. Repairs and component changes need a supported detail and compatible products. Where repair is not supported, we can discuss installation of a client-supplied replacement doorset. We do not provide independent inspection or certification through this service.

Where do you cover?

Northampton, Wellingborough, Kettering, Corby and Daventry, with enquiries across Northamptonshire and the Midlands. London and wider UK project support are by arrangement. Confirm your postcode when calling.
